Using your client portal

A quick guide to logging in, requesting changes, and using the feedback and AI-editing tools.

Log in (or create your account)

Go to the client portal. First time using it? You'll need an invite code — your account owner sends this to you (Lapistudios sends the first one to your business). Use the Sign Up tab, enter the code, and pick a username and password. After that, just log in normally.

Team access levels: your business owner controls who can do what — View (look only), Comment (leave feedback), Edit (use AI editing, needs approval), or Full (edit and approve anyone's changes). The owner can invite teammates at any level from their dashboard.

Request a change (simple way)

From your dashboard, fill out "Request a change" with what you need and a short description. It lands in your list with a status (open / in progress / done) and we'll take it from there.

Point-and-click feedback

Click "Edit site" from your dashboard to open a review copy of your actual site. Click any text on the page and a small box pops up right there — type what should change and save. It's pinned to that exact spot so we know precisely what you mean.

AI instant editing (optional)

On that same review page, there's a "✨ Edit with AI" toggle. Turn it on, click any text, describe the change, and AI applies it to your live page right away — no waiting on a dev.

Good for: wording changes, text placement, colors, small visual tweaks.
Not for: new features, layout restructuring, or anything you'd call a "real code change" — those still go through a normal request.

You get a starting amount of free AI credits, shared across your whole team. If you go over, and you've added a card, the overage is billed automatically. AI can make mistakes — review what changed, and reach out if something needs fixing by hand.
Every AI edit needs a second look: the change goes live on your site immediately, but it also lands in an approval queue for anyone with Full access (including you, if that's your level) to review from the portal. Until it's approved or reverted, no further AI edits can be made on that page — so review promptly. This applies to everyone, even the account owner's own edits.

Add a payment method (only needed for AI editing overage)

In your dashboard, under "Payment method," you can securely save a card via Stripe. This is only ever used to cover AI-edit usage beyond your included credits — it's not required if you don't plan to use AI editing.
